When a restaurant needs color…

I designed several of these towers over the years for various clients. The original was meant to be a sculpture hidden in the wild; for example, in a field of ivy, I designed an ivy pattern to cut out of steel (see the green ivy tower below).

…Add ART!

I then went on to design a whole series that would go anywhere to add color, texture and light. Each of these sculptures has a solar powered light that will illuminate when the sun sets. Immediately after it detects the absence of light, the fixture will turn on.

Below are images of other series’ of sculptures I designed with Nikolas Bentel, also a designer, for ICON BAY Sculpture Park in Miami, Florida. These patterns were based on native species of flora that have become extinct. These are the base design for my new sculptures at Hunter Restaurant (see my new post). These also have the illuminated interiors with solar powered lights that you can see at night.

Even nature enjoys my reproduction of nature.
